The New Orleans Swing Dance Festival is a live music centered, international dance festival set in the birthplace of jazz. In partnership with local musicians and dancers, New Orleans culture bearers, and the international swing dance community, we strive to foster an inclusive, creative, and socially conscious community through high-quality programming with an emphasis on live jazz entertainment.
Tuba Skinny is a traditional jazz street band based in New Orleans, Louisiana. The ensemble draws its inspiration from the early jazz, ragtime, and blues music of the 1920s and 1930s.
NOJO5 is a dynamic five-piece ensemble drawn from the full New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, led by Grammy®-winning drummer and artistic director Adonis Rose.
Born in New Orleans, Braud comes from a family of world-renowned musicians. Traditional jazz, R&B and the great American songbook inspire his engaging music.
Brunious was born into a Louisiana Creole family, the son of Nazimova “Chinee” Santiago and John “Picket” Brunious, Sr., a trumpeter who studied at Juilliard and played with the Onward Brass Band, Young Tuxedo Brass Band, and Paul Barbarin, and who arranged for Billy Eckstine and Cab Calloway.
Located in the vibrant Warehouse Arts District of downtown New Orleans, Louisiana, Ogden Museum of Southern Art holds the largest and most comprehensive collection of Southern art and is recognized for its original exhibitions, public events and educational programs which examine the development of visual art alongside Southern traditions of music, literature and culinary heritage to provide a comprehensive story of the South. Established in 1999, and in Stephen Goldring Hall at 925 Camp Street since 2003, Ogden Museum welcomes almost 85,000 visitors annually, and attracts diverse audiences through its broad range of programming including exhibitions, lectures, film screenings, and concerts which are all part of its mission to broaden the knowledge, understanding, interpretation and appreciation of the visual arts and culture of the American South.
